Rawthey Centre Accommodation
For the slightly more adventurous! Rawthey Centre is the perfect place ‘to get away from it all’. Rawthey has been purposely built to offer self catering group accommodation right in the heart of beautiful countryside. The former field barn has been recently converted to an exceptional standard offering a superb group venue set in an amazing rural location. Vehicular access is limited, there is an allocated parking/turning area which is OK for 4 to 5 cars a few minutes walk from the centre. This means that you will have to walk about 200 metres from the car parking area to the centre. There is a properly made path but you should wear sensible footwear and ensure all belongings are properly packed (back packs obviously best); if arriving after dark you should bring a torch. With stunning views of the Howgills and the sound of the river in the valley below it is an amazing place to relax and leave your cares behind.
It is great for a family holiday but please note it is an “outdoor centre” and not a “standard holiday home”. The sleeping accommodation is in bunk beds and there are no laundry facilities. It is superb if you are looking for something “different” and secluded/remote but please do not book if are looking for a town/city break!
